Mâkhi Xenakis is a French painter, sculptor and writer, born in 1956 in Paris.
She lives and works in Paris.

In 1987 she was awarded the Villa Médicis Hors les murs Bursary, section painting, which enabled her to move to New York where she lived for the next 2 years.

During this time, she met Louise Bourgeois, with whom she published in 1998 Louise Bourgeois, the blind Leading the blind.

In 2004, she presented her sculptures Les folles d'enfer de la Salpêtrière, at the Chapelle et Jardins de la Salpêtrière in Paris.

In 2009, she took part in the exhibition Elles@centrepompidou at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Between 2014 and 2020 she exhibited at Musée de la Chasse in Paris, Domaine de Chaumont sur Loire and Musée de l'Hospice Saint Roch d'Issoudun, France.

Mâkhi Xenakis's work is part of prestigious public collections such as the FNAC, the Centre Georges Pompidou or the Manufacture de Sèvres et des Gobelins.

Her work has been acquired by private collectors: Florence et Daniel Guerlain, Antoine de Galbert, Cottrell-Lovett Collection in New York among others.
